Dian Mandiri Foundatio (DIMAN), through Micro Enterprise Development(MED) offer services to clients in Jakarta and rural areas. MED encompasses colateral free loans, training, mentoring and leadership development, to empower the poor to expand their own business. The overiding objective of DIMAN is to "reduce poverty in Indonesia". This vision primarily focuses on MED, but also includes empowering communities through community development, training, farmer business activities and advocacy.

DIMAN began in 1998 and as of December 2006 served 18,882 active clients. It focuses on the provision of Micro Enterprise Development spread through its ten branch offices using the Trust Bank methodology. Trust Bank is an approach to groups of communities that have a mutual guarantee system for effectiveness. The group consists of 15 to 30 poor entrepreneurs, mostly women, who come together to receive business loans, training and assistance. DIMAN also offers training to its clients including bookkeeping, group formation and basic business training. Although DIMAN currently focuses on the delivery of MED services, the organisation’s vision of reducing poverty in Indonesia will also include empowering the community through community development, training, farmer business activities and advocacy. DIMAN operates in Tangerang, within Banten, Jakarta and West Java. Tangerang has a population of 4.6 million and those living in poverty represent 13% of the population.
